Multiple Overlapping Tiles for Contextual Monte Carlo Tree Search
نویسندگان
چکیده
Monte Carlo Tree Search is a recent algorithm that achieves more and more successes in various domains. We propose an improvement of the Monte Carlo part of the algorithm by modifying the simulations depending on the context. The modification is based on a reward function learned on a tiling of the space of Monte Carlo simulations. The tiling is done by regrouping the Monte Carlo simulations where two moves have been selected by one player. We show that it is very efficient by experimenting on the game of Havannah.

متن کاملLinUCB Applied to Monte-Carlo Tree Search
UCT is a standard method of Monte Carlo tree search (MCTS) algorithms, which have been applied to various domains and have achieved remarkable success. This study proposes a family of LinUCT algorithms that incorporate LinUCB into MCTS algorithms. LinUCB is a recently developed method that generalizes past episodes by ridge regression with feature vectors and rewards. LinUCB outperforms UCB1 in...
متن کاملMonte-Carlo Expression Discovery
Monte-Carlo Tree Search is a general search algorithm that gives good results in games. Genetic Programming evaluates and combines trees to discover expressions that maximize a given fitness function. In this paper Monte-Carlo Tree Search is used to generate expressions that are evaluated in the same way as in Genetic Programming. Monte-Carlo Tree Search is transformed in order to search expres...
متن کاملBeta Diffusion Trees
We define the beta diffusion tree, a random tree structure with a set of leaves that defines a collection of overlapping subsets of objects, known as a feature allocation. The generative process for the tree is defined in terms of particles (representing the objects) diffusing in some continuous space, analogously to the Dirichlet and Pitman–Yor diffusion trees (Neal, 2003b; Knowles & Ghahraman...
متن کاملMemory-Augmented Monte Carlo Tree Search
This paper proposes and evaluates Memory-Augmented Monte Carlo Tree Search (M-MCTS), which provides a new approach to exploit generalization in online realtime search. The key idea of M-MCTS is to incorporate MCTS with a memory structure, where each entry contains information of a particular state. This memory is used to generate an approximate value estimation by combining the estimations of s...
